Perelman School of Medicine (formerly Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania)

The Ruth and Raymond Center for Advanced Medicine is located adjacent to the Perelman School of Medicine. It is on the 3rd floor of the South Pavilion. Please check in at the main reception area in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology. Tell the receptionist that you have an appointment with Audiology.

Driving Directions to the Perelman School of Medicine:
The main entrance of the Perelman School of Medicine and valet parking are located on 34th Street. For the Penn Tower parking garage, continue past the Hospital's main entrance and turn left onto East Service Drive, turn left onto Health Sciences Drive, then left onto Convention Avenue, and then right into the garage.

University of Pennsylvania - Radnor

To get to the Audiology Department, enter the main entrance, walk through the lobby, and make the first left (just past the optical shop). Walk to the end of the hall and go up the short flight of steps and enter module 1A (alternatively, an elevator is available on your left; take it to “U1” and turn right as you get out of the elevator and right again). Enter module 1A. The check-in desk will be on your right.

FROM BRYN MAWR: Take Lancaster Avenue (Route 30 West), three-tenths of a mile past Villanova University, go past the Blue Route sign (476-North). Immediately past the overpass, turn right at traffic light onto King of Prussia Road. Penn Medicine Radnor is at 250 King of Prussia Road on the left side, past Radnor High School.
PAOLI AND WAYNE: Take Lancaster Ave (Rt 30 East), go past the Blue Route sign (476 South), get into left lane. At intersection, make a left at the traffic light onto King of Prussia Road. Penn Medicine Radnor is on the left, past Radnor High School.
BLUE ROUTE (I-476), GOING NORTH: Take exit 13 for St. Davids/Villanova. Stay in center lane. At the end of the exit ramp, cross over Rt 30 (Lancaster Ave), stay straight to King of Prussia Road. Penn Medicine Radnor is on the left, past Radnor High School.
BLUE ROUTE (I-476), GOING SOUTH: Take exit 13 for St. Davids/Villanova. Bear right toward 30 East. On Route 30 East, get into left lane. Turn left at the traffic light onto King of Prussia Road. Penn Medicine Radnor is on the left side, past Radnor High School.
I-95: Take Exit 7, for the Blue Route (1-476 North) to Plymouth Meeting. Take exit 13 for St. Davids/Villanova. Stay in center lane. At the end of the exit ramp, cross over Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue), stay straight to King of Prussia Road. Penn Medicine Washington Square (formerly Pennsylvania Hospital)

Penn Medicine Washington Square is now located on the southwest corner of 8th and Walnut streets above the 7/11. The Audiology Department is located on the 18th floor of the Pennsylvania Medicine at Washington Square building.

From Northeastern Areas: From I-95 South, follow Exit 22 for I-676/US-30/Callowhill Street exit towards Central Philadelphia/Independence Hall. Turn right onto Callowhill Street, then after about a half-mile turn left onto North 6th Street. Make a right onto Walnut St and follow for 2 blocks. Hospital is located at 8th and Walnut St.
From the West: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 326 (old exit 24), Valley Forge. Take I-76 East approximately 17 miles to Exit 344 on the left towards Central Philadelphia. Merge onto the Vine Street Expressway for about 1.5 miles, then take the exit towards I-676 E/US-30 E/Ben Franklin Bridge. Make a right onto North 6th Street and follow for 0.8 miles. Turn right onto Walnut St and go two blocks. Hospital is located at 8th and Walnut St.
From the North: Take I-476 South to Exit 16, towards Philadelphia/Valley Forge. Merge onto I-76 E for about 12.6 miles, then take I-676E exit 344 on the left towards Central Philadelphia. Merge onto the Vine Street Expressway for about 1.5 miles, then take the exit towards I-676 E/US-30 E/Ben Franklin Bridge. Make a right onto North 6th Street and follow for 0.8 miles. Take a right onto Walnut St and go 2 blocks. Hospital is located at 8th and Walnut.
From the South: Take I-95 North to the Columbus Blvd. (Exit 20) towards Washington Ave. Keep left at the fork in the ramp, and turn left onto South Columbus Blvd. Follow Columbus Boulevard to the next traffic light and turn left on Washington Avenue. From Washington Avenue, turn right onto S 5th Street. Take 5th Street to Walnut Street and turn left. Follow Walnut Street three blocks to the hospital, at 8th and Walnut Streets.
From New Jersey: Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 3, then the Black Horse Pike (Rte. 168 North) for one mile to I-295 South. Take the Rt. 70 W exit, number 34B, towards Cherry Hill/Camden. Merge onto NJ-70 W and continue for approximately 5 miles, then take the Rt-38 W ramp that merges onto Kaighn Ave. Stay straight to go onto US-30 W, and take the I-676 W/US-30 W ramp. Cross the Ben Franklin Bridge, and at the bottom of the exit ramp on Vine Street, bear left to follow the signs to “8th Street South.” Follow 8th St to Walnut St
Alternate Route from New Jersey and points East: Take Route 70 West to the Rt-38 W ramp that merges onto Kaighn Ave. Stay straight to go onto US-30 W, and take the I-676 W/US-30 W ramp. Cross the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, and follow to the bottom of the exit ramp on Vine Street. Bear left to follow the signs to “8th Street South.” Follow S. 8th Street to Wlanut Street.
From West of Philadelphia: Travel east on Market Street. Make a right onto S.15th Street, and then a left onto S. Penn Square. Turn left onto S. Juniper Street and then another right onto Market Street. Follow Market Street until making a right onto S. 8th Street. Continue on 8th Street about a half-mile until you reach Walnut St. Hospital is located at 8th and Walnut.
From Northeast Philadelphia: Take Roosevelt Blvd. to I-76 East. Take I-76 East to Exit 344 for I-676 E. Take I-676 E (Vine Street Expressway) to the 8th Street Exit. Follow 8th Street to Walnut Street.

Free self parking for study subjects is located in the Pennsylvania Hospital parking lot, 3 blocks south of this location at 8th and Delancey Streets. CHEARS will pay for up to 2 hours of parking; the study will not cover Valet services or an extended stay in any lot. Please bring your parking ticket with you for validation. There is street and on-site parking at 8th and Walnut Street where subjects may park at their own cost.
